The most striking changes in the world of the last two or three
decades were to do with writing! First there was email, followed by
web pages…then came mobile texts and now, the BLOGS. Blog is a
truncated form of the word "weBLOG", which is nothing but a virtual
diary created to publish views and comments for the world to read! It
is a space that gives freedom of an unedited expression in the
boundary-less world of Internet.

So here I am, talking straight about the on-going revolution in the
world, to which everyone right from students, professionals to
organizations are associated (even addicted) to, called blogging!

Blogging is an excellent way of sharing knowledge about any topic
under the sun. Blog is also a place to interact with like-minded
people, and the people further up the ladder getting together for
meaning purposes. Students and professionals can exploit this amazing
medium of communication to the best of their use.

As social networking is gaining relevance for businesses of today, the
importance of blogs will grow as well. Increasing more corporations
and executives around the world are using the blogs as a medium to
build an image about themselves/their organization. Blogs are used as
an effective medium for marketing about your products/company/service
etc. Blogs are a great medium to create interests about your products
and draw potential customers. It also can be a very positive and
straight way of getting the feedbacks directly from the
users/customers.

When ever I feel lonely and find no one around to get the comfort, I usually write a blog which is nothing but a diary but with one huge difference. Diary’s can be read by any one if found under your bed …or inside the cupboard … hmmm…but blogs?????? They are only Yours. You and only You can read it.

I, as a student, about to enter the corporate world would love to read the experiences of my future colleagues about their 1st day at office. This will help me adjust myself in the new environment very easily.

When I was thinking to search such blog, for a second I laughed on myself ….what crazy thing I m expecting from the world of blogs as my search was very specific to the company I got placed… but when I found a blog of one of my college senior placed in the same company, I was very happy and felt quite relaxed after reading it. Now that new JOB FEVER is very much in control.

Like every coin has two sides, blogging can also be used and misused.
People having grudge can spread rumors and can publish false facts as
a vindictive move on this free communication channel. Organizational
marketing blogs can also be counter-productive, and may communicate
incorrect information to the perspective buyers.

Inspite of the negatives, blogging remains a very effective medium
which can be used in a useful manner. Ultimately searching for blog
will be like what computers are and will be- GIGO. (Gold-in, Gold out.
Or Garbage-in Garbage-out)
